Gina Choi, MD, is a transplant hepatologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her clinical interests include autoimmune liver disease and women with liver disease. She is committed to training future gastroenterologists and hepatologists and serves as the Associate Program Director for the transplant hepatology fellowship. She is also UCLA's principal investigator for the NIH-Drug Induced Liver Injury Network. Dr. Choi graduated from Stanford University and subsequently spent one year in Korea as a Fulbright Scholar. She earned her medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco, and completed her internal medicine residency at New York University. This was followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at UCLA. Dr. Choi then pursued an additional year of advanced training in transplant hepatology at the University of Pennsylvania.
