Truptesh H. Kothari, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Director of the Developmental Endoscopy Laboratory at the University of Rochester (DELUR). Dr. Kothari has clinical expertise in interventional endoscopic ultrasound, diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP, intraluminal stent placement, esophageal endotherapy for Barrett's esophagus, Achalasia, Zenker's myotomy, and pancreatic-biliary disorders. His various research interests include fistula closure, per oral endoscopy myotomy (POEM), Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and new device innovation. He leads the Bariatric Endoscopy Program at Strong Memorial Hospital, and performs intragastric balloon placement, revision procedure for gastric bypass like endoscopic outlet reduction.
