Kavya Reddy, MD, earned her undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in psychology from Saint Louis University. She continued at Saint Louis University for medical school as part of the combined BS/MD Medical Scholars Program. She then came to Los Angeles where she completed her internal medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, where she served as a chief resident. After residency, Dr. Reddy joined the staff at Kaiser as an associate physician in internal medicine. During this time, she was active in resident and student education and acted as the UCLA Primary Care Rotation site coordinator for medical students. Dr. Reddy then returned to Saint Louis University to pursue a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology. After fellowship, she worked at UCLA as a clinical instructor in the GI division for 2 years and is currently working at Cedars Sinai as the Associate Program Director of the GI fellowship and Director of the Adult Care Clinic in Gastroenterology. She is passionate about medical education and has interests in quality improvement, esophageal disorders, hereditary colon cancer syndromes, and disorders of gut brain interaction. A member of the ACG, AGA, and ASGE, she is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
