Patrick E. Young, MD, FACG, is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He is currently a Professor of Medicine and the Director of the Digestive Health Division at the Uniformed Services University. In addition, serves as Trustee for the ACG. His clinical and research interests include cancer prevention and detection in the GI tract, the ergonomics of endoscopy, leadership development, and emotional intelligence - specifically self-awareness and resilience. His less scholarly pursuits include trail running, mountain biking, fly-fishing, and basically anything that gets him out of the hospital and into the wild.
