Jose M. Remes-Troche, MD, MsC, is a full time Researcher and Associate Professor of Gastroenterology at the Universidad Veracruzana in Veracruz, Mexico. He is a Level III National Researcher and Member of the National Academy of Medicine in Mexico. Dr. Remes-Troche is Member of the Anorectal Committee Rome V and the International Anorectal Physiology Group (London classification). He is member of multiple national and international professional associations and currently serves on several Editorial Boards and national professional committees, and is the Director of the Medical Biological Research Institute at the Universidad Veracruzana. Dr. Remes-Troche is committed to patient care, research, and education. He has written numerous articles (more than 200) and book chapters, and his clinical and research interests include functional gastrointestinal disorders (chronic constipation, anorectal functional disorders, biofeedback, functional dyspepsia, GERD), and celiac disease.
