Douglas G. Adler, MD, FACG, received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Adler completed a general gastroenterology fellowship and a therapeutic endoscopy/endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He then returned to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for a fellowship in endoscopic ultrasound. Dr. Adler was a tenured Professor of Medicine and Director of Therapeutic Endoscopy at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, UT, and was also the GI Fellowship Program Director. Dr. Adler is currently a Professor of Medicine and the Co-Director of the Center for Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at Centura Health in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Adler's clinical, educational, and research efforts focus on the diagnosis and management of patients with gastrointestinal cancers, emphasizing therapeutic endoscopy. He is the author of more than 450 scientific publications and book chapters and has published 8 medical textbooks on gastroenterology.
