Ali Rezaie, MD, MSc, is the medical director of the GI Program at Cedars-Sinai, Los Angeles and the program director of the GI motility fellowship. He is an associate professor at Cedars-Sinai and UCLA. He has postdoctoral training in gastrointestinal motility disorders and also inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) along with an MSc degree in epidemiology. His research focuses on irritable bowel syndrome, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, gut microbiome, and GI motility disorders of IBD patients. Dr. Rezaie has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers that have been cited over 6,000 times. Rezaie has been awarded multiple grants, including the prestigious Canadian Institutes of Health Research fellowship grant and an ACG grant. Rezaie also serves as the Director of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology at Medically Associated Science and Technology (MAST) program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He also serves as the associate editor of Digestive Diseases and Sciences.
