Dustin Carlson, MD, MSCI, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Director of the Motts Tonelli Esophageal Function Lab of the Esophageal Center of Northwestern Medicine. He was the recipient of the ACG's Faculty Development Award, author of the ACG Clinical Guideline for use of Esophageal Physiologic Testing, and a member of the International High Resolution Manometry Working Group. His clinical and research interests are in achalasia, esophageal motility disorders, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. His research focuses on improving physiologic understanding of these esophageal conditions and developing novel diagnostic approaches.
