Vani Konda, MD, FACG, is a gastroenterologist and serves as the Clinical Director of the Center for Esophageal Diseases at Baylor University Medical Center. She has clinical expertise in Barrett’s esophagus, gastroesophageal reflux disease, achalasia, and other swallowing disorders, colon cancer screening and surveillance, and advanced endoscopic imaging. Her research endeavors are based on the goals to improve earlier detection, risk stratification, and treatment of premalignant lesions in the gastrointestinal tract and to explore underlying causes and optimize treatments of esophageal disorders. She is engaged in highly collaborative and multidisciplinary teams in both clinical and translational arenas.
