Adam Slivka, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the Medical Director of the GI Service Line for UPMC Health System. Dr. Slivka is a therapeutic endoscopist trained by Dr. David Carr-Locke at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and has been at UPMC since 1994. He has authored over 200 peer reviewed manuscripts and trained over 100 fellows, many of whom hold leadership positions at major academic hospitals. Dr. Slivka's current research involves molecular diagnostics for early detection of pancreaticobiliary malignancy and validation of disposable duodenoscopes for clinical care.
