Vivian Huang, MSc, MD, FRCPC, is an Associate Professor and Clinician Investigator at Mount Sinai Hospital, University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada. She completed medical school at Queen's University (Kingston, ON, Canada) and Adult Gastroenterology residency at University of Toronto (Toronto, ON, Canada). She then completed an Advanced IBD clinical research fellowship and Masters of Science at University of Alberta (Edmonton, AB, Canada). Dr. Huang developed the Preconception and Pregnancy in IBD clinic in Edmonton, AB, which was the second one in Canada in 2015. She returned to Toronto, ON, in October 2017 and initiated the Mount Sinai Hospital Preconception and Pregnancy IBD clinic and research program. Her main clinical and research focus is to optimize maternal and neonatal outcomes in IBD through clinical innovations and improving patient and physician education regarding the management of IBD in pregnancy. Dr. Huang also conducts translational research investigating the impact of maternal IBD and IBD therapies on the mother and infant.
