Neal Shahidi, MD, is an interventional endoscopist at St. Paul's Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of British Columbia with a focus on endoscopic resection techniques and third space endoscopy. He completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of British Columbia in 2018 and his interventional endoscopy fellowship at Westmead Hospital in Sydney Australia in 2020. He is currently completing his Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Sydney focusing on delineating a selective resection algorithm for large colorectal polyps. He has published over 70 peer-reviewed manuscripts/book chapters and 75 conference abstracts in high-impact journals including Gastroenterology, Gut, Lancet Gastroenterology and Hepatology, The American Journal of Gastroenterology, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and Endoscopy. He is currently the Gastroenterology site lead for Mount Saint Joseph’s Hospital and a member of the ASGE's Quality Assurance in Endoscopy Committee.
