Eric Lam, MD, is a therapeutic GI endoscopist at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, Canada, and has been in practice for 18 years. He completed his MD degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Internal Medicine at UBC and completed his GI training at the University of Alberta. He did additional training in biliary endoscopy at the University of Alberta and completed his clinical fellowship in endoscopic ultrasound at Hôpital St. Luc in Montreal. He did additional training in advanced tissue resection in Kobe, Japan. His clinical interests include ERCP/interventional endoscopic ultrasound and third space endoscopy including endoscopic submucosal dissection, peroral endoscopic myotomy for achalasia and laparoscopic/endoscopic cooperative surgery (LECS).
