Ronald Hsu, MD, FACG, obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Wales, College of Medicine, United Kingdom, and his Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of California Davis Medical Center. He has served as Director of Endoscopy of the UC Davis GI Fellowship Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy Training Program. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California Davis School of Medicine and the Regional Advisor USA (West) for the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh, UK. He served as the Medical Director of Gastroenterology at the Sutter Roseville Medical Center and is now the Medical Director of the Sutter Roseville Endoscopy Center. Today, he serves as the ACG Governor for Northern California and Regional Councilor for the Board of Governors. He is a member of several ACG committees, including Educational Affairs, Practice Management, International Relations, and the Legislative and Public Policy Council, and is a past member of the ACGG Patient Care Committee. He co-chaired the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation (CCF) Northern California Medical Advisory Committee and now serves on the CCF National Scientific Advisory Committee. He has received numerous awards, including the ACG Community Service Award, Service Award for Colorectal Cancer Outreach, Prevention & Year-Round Excellence (SCOPY), Board of Governor’s Service Award, the ASGE Achievement in Endoscopy Education, Top Doctors, and is a fellow of eight international medical colleges and societies. Dr. Hsu specializes in Endoscopic Eradication Therapy for Barrett’s esophagus and Dysplasia, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography for Pancreaticobiliary diseases, Fecal Microbiota Transplantation, and Endoscopic Therapy and prevention of gastrointestinal cancers. His clinical interests include the management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Gut Microbiome in Health and Disease, and Clostridiodes difficile Infections. He conducts clinical trials, publishes in peer-reviewed journals, and directs hands-on endoscopy workshops, medical educational conferences, and community outreach programs.
