Neha Mathur, MD, is an assistant professor of clinical medicine at The Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX, and is a practicing general gastroenterologist. She completed her medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.She then completed her internal medicine residency at Rush University in Chicago, IL, and then moved back to Texas to complete her gastroenterology fellowship training at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Her interests include general gastroenterology diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome, colon cancer screening, gastro-esophageal reflux disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease and hemorrhoid management. Dr. Mathur has started the hemorrhoid banding program in the clinic at Methodist GI clinic as well. She enjoys working with medical students, residents and fellows, and is the faculty mentor for fellow’s continuity clinic. She is a native of Houston and enjoys spending time outside of work with her family.
